The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. The Adelaide Dental School is one of five schools in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Established in 2011, The Indigenous Oral Health Unit (IOHU) seeks to undertake research and provide research education in Indigenous Oral Health that is internationally recognised to be of the highest quality. The IOHU has partnerships with Indigenous groups in Brazil, New Zealand, Canada and the United States In this role, initially based in Alice Springs and working under general direction you will contribute to the conduct of a randomised clinical trial on the role of a periodontal intervention in reducing the burden of chronic kidney disease among Aboriginal adults residing in Central Australia. The position is responsible for recruitment of participants, liaising with key stakeholder groups regarding recruitment of participants, facilitating the periodontal intervention, organising collection of data and reporting to Chief Investigators. Salary (HEO5) $69,262 - $77,057 per annum. Superannuation An employer contribution of 9.5% applies. Term of position This fixed - term contract is available immediately until December 2018.
