Company Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Subsidised Accommodation Position Purpose The Health and Wellness Coordinator works within the MWRSCAC organisation and is responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of the Health and Well-being program. This position plays a pivotal role in establishing strategies, implementation of those strategies using techniques and services that are unique in design to achieve positive outcomes in the healthy and well-being of the people Mai Wiru Regional Stores Council Aboriginal Corporation serve. To build, develop and implement training in the delivery of health and well-being understanding for retail and/or takeaway outlets at regional level.   Also, to provide Store Managers and Staff with the training resources and tools to improve performance and deliver customer satisfaction whilst adhering to the Policies and Procedures and core values of Mai Wiru Regional Stores Council Aboriginal Corporation. Key Responsibilities  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following      Key Areas/Key Responsibilities Development and Implementation of the MWRSCAC Health & Wellness Programs and Policies. Development and implementation of on-going projects, programs and strategies of health and wellness activities and events. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the health and wellness programs and provide regular and ad-hoc updates and reports to the Management Team. Coordinate and implement in the delivery of Health and Well-being programs, School Meal programs, and activities designed for the implementation of healthy eating for the MWSCAC Stores and Take-away outlets on the APY Lands, plus any other MWRSCAC Stores outside of the APY Lands as directed. Training and coaching of Store Managers and Staff in understanding and implementing the MWRSCAC Nutrition Policy and the Health & Well-being Charter. Provides coaching and development to the Store Managers responsible for newly appointed staff and to ensure effective implementation of all new and existing in Store and/or Take-away Outlet based training program. Liaises with Executive Project Officer and the Operations Manager to ensure all Health & Well-being training materials, documents and manuals are in line with the guidelines of MWRSCAC Policies & procedures. Conducts regular assessment of Health & Wellbeing program information, promotional material and training to determine the most relevant and cost-effective solutions for Store Managers and/or Store Staff that will improve individual / team knowledge, skills and in turn Store and/or Take-away Outlets performance. Communication and ability to liaise with Anangu people to deliver the Health and Wellness message. Engage/encourage the Customers of MWRSCAC Stores to support a healthier lifestyle. Host seminars and cooking events, including specialists where applicable, to build and encourage health and wellness at Community level to raise and awareness around these issues for example, Store Managers, Take-away Managers, Store Committee and Store Staff. Recruit & Train Anangu Staff to assist in the delivery of Health & Well-being programs. Liaise with Community members and Store Committee to evaluate the outcomes of the Health & Well-being programs. Actively participates in two-way communication, sharing and exchanging relevant and timely information Responsible for geographical regions with approximately 10 Stores           The focus of this position encompasses managing, programs to ensure a cohesive community environment and positive health outcomes Inspection of Store/Take-away outlets to implement, monitor and assess the Health & Wellbeing Programs to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company policies. The successful applicant must have a strong understanding of the business and its policies, to ensure legal compliance training is organised and delivered cost effectively e.g. safe food handling training etc.         Based at Yuendumu Community (As advised) when delivering services to NT.
